Unifor’s Media Action Plan analyzed the main party platforms and past records with a focus on four main issues: Making foreign media companies – like Netflix, Amazon, Facebook and Google – pay for news content to level the playing field so Canadian companies can compete, ensuring that web giants are responsible for what is posted on their websites, CBC funding and the Canadian journalism labour tax credit.
