Calling All Members! Third and final call for Congress!
The Twenty-Fourth Annual Congress of Unifor Local 2000 will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Vancouver Downtown, at 1110 Howe St., starting at 9 a.m. and adjourning at 4 p.m.
WHAT IS CONGRESS?
Congress is an annual meeting of member representatives, to bring forward and vote on resolutions to change the local’s by-laws, and to discuss all variety of issues affecting members within the local. Each council sends its representatives, as chosen by the members of that council.
NUMBER OF DELEGATES
Here are the number of delegates still vacant for this year’s Congress. I urge you to consider attending as a delegate. Hotel and meals are provided.

HOW TO BE NOMINATED
If you would like to attend Congress as a delegate, make it known, so that you can be nominated.
Delegates must be nominated, and then accept the nomination.
If there are more nominees than allowed delegates, then a vote is taken.
Nominations should be sent to your council chair or chair-designate as soon as possible. Contact emails are shown in the list of councils following. Council chairs are asked to have their delegates selected, and to forward their names to Jennifer Moreau via email, [email protected] and office support staff, [email protected].
ELECTIONS
The following positions are up for election at Congress:
Vice-President, three-year term, Jan. 1, 2023 to Dec. 31, 2025. This is an unpaid position.
