Hope Standard Senior Clerk

The Hope Standard and hopestandard.com, has an immediate opening for a permanent part-time Senior Clerk. This position is part time, 23 hours per week, located in Hope.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic, outgoing, and organized. Being able to work independently and as part of a small dynamic team is essential. The ability to set priorities and handle deadlines will be key to your success. Excellent in-person and telephone and verbal and written communication skills are required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Administrative duties including reception, walk-in inquiries, and processing payments.
  • Classified advertisements including quoting, booking, writing, and proofing ads, in both print and online, over the telephone and in-person.
  • Circulation including communication with newspaper carrier force, promoting open carrier routes, hiring, training and carriers. Duties also include subscription sales, renewals and working with dealers.
  • Advertising sales vacation relief includes quoting, selling, and processing advertising campaigns.
