Position: Reporter

This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the city editor
The successful applicant will:
• Be a skilled and dynamic individual who can produce stories and columns on a deadline for news and others sections and products as required
• Be dedicated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Have the ability to work with limited supervision
• Generate story ideas and work a beat
• Be able to take crisp, eye-catching photos
• Use social media to increase web traffic
• Comfortable posting in realtime
The successful candidate must be comfortable working some weekends and occasional evenings, and must own a reliable automobile.
Previous newspaper experience is a definite asset.
Wages and benefits are based on experience and as per union contract.
