THE OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an opportunity for the right person to start a career with Western Canada’s leading Visual Communication company. Our PRESS FEEDER position is an excellent opportunity in an in-demand trade. The right candidate has opportunities to advance into an exciting and creative career.

THE POSITION
Working as part of Western Canada’s premier Heat Set web offset press teams, your role is to support the exceptional quality and results expected from Mitchell Press by our clients:

  • Ensure project materials are accurately set for uninterrupted production
  • Learn key aspects of print production for our client’s high-end magazines, catalogs, and custom marketing materials
  • Work in accordance with Mitchell’s Standard Operating Procedures covering both quality of product and Health & Safety protocols
  • Other duties as directed by your supervisor

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS:

  • Comfortable working in a custom manufacturing environment
  • Able to learn and retain in-house training provided
  • Flexible and able to work various shifts
  • An excellent communicator and able to follow directions
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Able to accomplish physical duties, lifting up to 50
  • Mechanically inclined and thrives in a team-centered, fast-paced

COMPENSATION
This Union position provides extended health and dental benefits as well as a pension plan.

Pay rate dependent on experience:
$22.13 per hour (0 to 6 mos.)+ shift differentials
$24.89 per hour (6 to 12 mos.)+ shift differentials
$27.67 per hour (after 1 year)+ shift differentials (4 shift operation)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Grade 12
Printing Industry experience is an asset.
