2022 Family Education Program

Greetings,

The Education Department is thrilled to announce the recommencement of our incredibly popular Family Education Program in 2022!

The Unifor Family Education Program is funded by the National Union. There is no cost to the Local Union and you are not required to have PEL negotiated in your collective agreements in order to have members participate in the program.

The Department will be hosting two sessions in 2022.

1)      Sunday, July 3rd – Sunday, July 10th

2)      Sunday, August 14th – Sunday, August 21st

The Call Letter and an application form are attached. Please have each member of your local interested in participating in the Family Education program complete the application and return it via email to [email protected] no later than Friday April 22nd, 2022.

Members are not eligible if they attended the Family Education Program within the last (7) seven years. The program is open to members and their immediate families (spouse/partner and dependant children up to and including 18 years of age only). This does not include grandchildren, nieces, nephews etc.

Successful applicants will be notified beginning the week of May 2nd, 2022.

Also find attached, a poster that can be displayed in workplaces that your local represents. We have provided space on the poster for you to write in your Local Union contact person along with their contact information. Additionally, Eligibility Requirements and Instructions are attached with the Call Letter.

If you require further information, please send an email to [email protected] and one of our Administration staff will get back to you.

I look forward to meeting and participating alongside our members and their families this summer!
